Place of Big Reeds – Acapulco, Mexico

Acapulco is a major sea port located 300 kilometres southwest from Mexico City on the Pacific coast of Mexico. Acapulco originates from the Nahuatl language which means “place of big reeds.” Settled on a horseshoe-shaped bay surrounded with hills and cliffs, Acapulco is the division of the state of Guerrero. It functions as a port of call for ships and cruise liners plying between Panama and San Francisco, California, United States. Acapulco is famous among tourists, rich and famous people for its lively and vibrant nightlife, postcard beaches and stunning natural beauty of the city.

Acapulco is a diverse and incredible city and one of the most exciting cities in the world to visit. Acapulco is known for plenty of water-sports to enjoy like water skiing, para-sailing, scuba diving, deep sea fishing, sailing and snorkeling. Fishing of sailfish is particularly enjoyed in the city.
